I just read a very interesting post on a teacher’s blog about being careful about using copyrighted images when you post on-line.
She inadvertently used a photo on her blog that she thought was free for use since she found it on free service. The owner of the photo harassed her for a considerable payment to cover the two year duration of the photo being posted on-line. After scare tactics and threats, she settled by paying a reduced fee to the photographer.
After this unsettling experience, she recommends that it is safest to only use photos you take yourself.
